Their chicken vermicelli rice bowl is delicious. Make sure to add a fried roll! Many Vietnamese Che options but my favorite happens to be the "Bambu Favorite". Always so good!
Bambu is always consistent and good across the board. Che and boba milk teas are great as are the banh mi & vermicelli and rice bowls. Food is very affordable and service is quick and kind. I wish they had more seating inside but otherwise a great spot!
I'm not often out in stony brook but this was worth the ride. Certainly a cute little spot which serves bubble tea and even some food items. Bubble tea flavors are ones that you will not find elsewhere. For example a kiwi flavored tea. Sounds strange but was delightful! Also tried their spring rolls, 2 piece. Beautifully executed and the sauce is was dynamite. Please don't try to buy that same type of peanut sauce in store, you will be disappointed. Have not yet tried more of their food dishes, but if the spring rolls are any sign then their food will be astounding. It's like there is an old Thai lady working in the back cooking up her secret recipes. Front of the house staff isn't the friendliest, well at least not the guy that was there when I went. But who cares! It's all about the teas and the food. Please visit and share your experience!
My stepdaughter recommended me this place to get avocado smoothies because she said they make the best. I trusted her, so we went there, and I ordered exactly what she suggested. Amazing! The smoothie came out perfect! The service was okay, but I expected it to be more upbeat because the place attracts youngsters, and they have lots of energy, ha! We also ordered something to go, a summer roll and Banh Mi. I loved my summer roll and avocado smoothie!
So happy Bambu has the halo halo back. I miss this drink so much that I literally try to find another place that makes it, but it only just gave me disappointment. They also had the mango halo halo, but of course I had to try that too. Bambu Halo Halo A Filipino drink comes with jackfruit, red tapioca, pandan jelly, egg pudding, coconut meat, and crystal boba. Mango halo halo: green jelly base with nata de coco, mango jelly, and mango ice cream Ube halo halo: red bean base, coconut meat, rainbow jelly, topped with ube ice cream They give so much pandan jelly But I think my new favorite is the mango halo halo. But i was a bit disappointed with the pandan waffle
